HICHIP Universal Hardware Modeling System enables efficient use of logicsimulation when using complex VLSI components. HICHIP adds the conceptsof hardware modeling to the already powerful HILO functional modelinglanguage to give users a modeling choice.With HICHIP, incorporating a VLSI device into the model library requireslittle more than physically connecting the device to a personality boardand then describing the external pin connections and their delayparameters. This reduces the amount of code needed for software modelsby orders of magnitude, thus saving valuable engineering time and effort.System characteristics include:

16 MHz vector application rate.
Adjustable strobe resolution.
Dynamically adjustable pattern memory of 64 KB (optionally 256 KB)
